Teaching and Collections Research - Illicit Trade and Return of Art and Indigenous Heritage
Stacey Jessiman teaches at Stanford University and lectures internationally on issues surrounding illicit trade, protection and return of art and Indigenous cultural material. The online and in-person courses she has developed bring into the classroom the voices and perspectives of renowned museum experts and Indigenous cultural practitioners from around the world.
Acting as a consultant, Stacey also offers online and in-person courses for organizations and can tailor course length and content to client needs. She also does provenance research for institutions and private collectors wanting to determine whether there are illicitly acquired works in their collections.
